GO is a two-year program separated into 4 phases.
YEAR 1: INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE
Become a High-Quality Doctor
In order to be a successful practice owner, it’s important to be an excellent doctor and teammate as well. Phase 1 will focus on your development as a doctor through experience in the hospital, strong communication training and specific veterinary CE.
Become a High-Performing Doctor
Being an excellent doctor should translate into your practice. You’ll work to become a top 10% practitioner through focus on productivity, profitability and efficiency in and out of the hospital. We hope you like setting goals and exceeding them!
YEAR 2: COLLECTIVE PERFORMANCE
The People Part
Sure, individual success is great, but great leaders and business owners help others succeed as well. This is the part when your management skills start to get developed. In Phase 3, you’ll begin to learn and understand how to lead AND manage people. If being a Medical Director is important to you, this is definitely a part you will need to develop!
The Ownership Part
By this point, you should know that practice ownership isn’t just about being a great doctor. There are many facets to owning your own practice, and it’s crucial that you understand the big picture impacts and the bottom line. Whether it’s Brand Management, Meeting Management or Financial Management, you’ll learn and grow in your understanding of each of these aspects of owning your own practice.
