Most veterinarians weren’t taught the one skill they use all day, every day: how to effectively handle challenging conversations.
In a hands-on learning lab, you’ll play with practical, evidence-based communication tools for the conversations that usually drain you the most, so you can keep doing great medicine, protect your energy, and actually get home on time. Using real-world scenarios, you’ll learn simple, memorable frameworks and practice with experienced communication coaches who’ve been exactly where you are—doing your best to care for patients by really connecting with the humans who love them, all within in the chaos of a busy practice.
By the end of this fun and interactive workshop, you will be able to:
- Get to the real story faster. Learn how to ask questions and listen in a way that saves time, prevents missed details, and keeps appointments from running off the rails.
- Build trust + get client buy-in. All without feeling like you have to over-explain, defend every estimate, or spend your lunch break or evenings on call backs.
- Handle tough conversations. Whether it’s an upset pet owner or a struggling team member — with confidence, calm, and clarity.
- Turn everyday chaos into connection. Learn to use communication tools that reduce client pushback, improve outcomes, and make your day run smoother.
- Find joy working with your team. Learn to understand how your communication style affects others — so you can prevent tension, lower stress, and make the hospital a place people actually like working in.
