ONE Conversation: Treatment Acceptance Workshop

If you attended the Suveto ONE Conference, this course will look familiar!
This course tracks with one of the workshops, focused on reducing barriers to treatment acceptance.

Treatment acceptance is often viewed as a communication challenge—but in reality, it’s a system. When patients don’t move forward with recommended care, it’s rarely due to a single moment or a single conversation. It’s the result of how recommendations are framed, how the team reinforces them, how financial options are introduced, and how clearly the next step is defined. When these elements are aligned, clients are far more likely to say yes to care. When they’re not, even the best medicine can stall out.

For many practices, the gap between recommendation and commitment shows up in familiar ways: “Let me think about it,” “I’ll call you,” or “Maybe later.” These moments are easy to accept as normal, but they represent missed opportunities—for patient outcomes, for client trust, and for team confidence. Left unexamined, they become patterns. And over time, those patterns impact everything from surgical volume to team morale to the overall health of the business.

This course is designed to help you move from intention to action. You’ll learn how to identify the real barriers—operational, financial, and communication-based—that influence treatment acceptance, and how to address them in a way that feels natural and consistent for your team. By clarifying roles, strengthening language, and ensuring every recommendation leads to a clear next step, you can create a system that supports better care, stronger client relationships, and more sustainable performance across your hospital.
