For veterinary students looking to get hands-on experience in the hospital, learn business fundamentals, AND get paid while doing it, the Harbor Externship is the place to grow! Whether you’re looking for something during the school year or in the summer, there’s an externship opportunity for you.

Choose your externship path:

2-week

  • Optimized for third and fourth-year students
  • Available year-round and over holiday breaks
  • Gain hands-on experience and see firsthand how a clinic runs at any participating Suveto hospital across the country
  • Earn a stipend of $100 for each day of participation
  • Gain access to the ExternSHIP online curriculum through Harbor.vet

10-week

  • Available for second and third-year students
  • Gain hands-on experience and see firsthand how a clinic runs at any participating Suveto hospital across the country
  • Get paid $10,000 for your 10-week participation
  • Learn veterinary business and grow your professional skills through an immersive, weekly curriculum.
  • Own and complete a project that will make an immediate impact on your hospital and/or Suveto
