Practice History & Profile
- Companion Animal Clinic was founded in 1990 by Dr. Norm Smith as a mixed equine and small animal practice. It has been strictly small animal since ~ 2013. The practice has been growing steadily since inception as our local community and surrounding areas have grown, but we are still considered a rural area. Dr. Colburn took over in 2017 and maintained the family atmosphere while making several upgrades and improvements on equipment and technology.

We are privately owned and promote individual patient care plans without “cookie cutter” medicine. We promote teamwork and supporting each other.
We are a full-service animal hospital offering general veterinary medicine and surgery to cats, dogs, and pocket pets. We take pride in providing our patients with exceptional veterinary care in a warm and welcoming environment. We offer a variety of services ranging from preventive care, surgery, medicine, dental care, cold laser therapy, acupuncture and more.
Cold LASER, acupuncture.
We partner with the local animal shelter to help serve their needs.
