SUMMARY:Too Much to Talk About\, Not Enough Time: Agenda-Setting for Clearer\, More Efficient Conversations
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE> \nThe appointment starts with one concern and suddenly there are five. A team member asks for “just a minute” and twenty minutes later you’re discussing staffing\, scheduling\, conflict\, and something that happened two weeks ago. Veterinary conversations can get complicated quickly—and when everyone enters with a different agenda\, even a long conversation may not accomplish what anyone needed. Agenda-setting gives conversations direction without making them feel rushed. Participants will learn how to uncover reasons\, concerns\, and goals\, identify competing priorities\, establish a shared agenda\, and check that the most important issues have not been missed. These are the same clinical and leadership agenda-setting elements used in the OVMA material. The result is not rigid conversations. It is greater clarity about what matters\, what can realistically be accomplished\, and what needs to happen next. \nLearning objectives\nBy the end of this webinar\, participants will be able to: \n1. Identify reasons\, concerns\, and goals early in a conversation\, helping clients and team members establish priorities and use limited time more effectively. \n2. Create and renegotiate a shared agenda when multiple issues arise\, reducing the frustration of conversations that wander or end without resolution. \n3.
